Yoshiki and Hikaru, best friends with contrasting personalities, share a close bond growing up in a small rural town. But one winter day, everything changes when Hikaru is fatally injured in a mountain accident. His body is discovered and revived—not by natural forces, but by an ancient, incomprehensible being that consumes Hikaru and takes on his form, memories, and emotions. Yoshiki quickly realizes this "Hikaru" is different, with a hidden nature that he struggles to understand. Driven by his love for his friend, Yoshiki chooses to stay close to "Hikaru" despite the risks, as they find themselves entangled in a conflict involving other supernatural entities and hunters on the trail of the eldritch.
